Would have absolutely saved the game. Why so late?
The ole motto of under delivery?

My guess is, now that the game is basically dead after June 9th upper management gave the devs the green light to go all out But that’s just my tinfoil theory.
-
Why so late ? Because they weren't interested in keeping the game going. Also, no these Updates would not have saved Destiny 2. It is just a sandbox change and Vendor update, with the addition of letting us use any artifact we want, Sparrow racing league, Pantheon and Bright engram focusing. So all in all it is a standard update with some extra ok additions.
-
At least we get to go out with a bang, and enough to hold destiny 2 over for a year for those vets looking to farm for everything in the update 🫡🍻

Edited by GreenWheelbarrel42: 5/31/2026 9:20:32 PMDevs who made it had no idea that it would be its final update. They designed this TO SAVE the game. The management however -blam!- everything up

1 ReplyYeah they literally admitted to doing too much early on in destiny's life cycle and how that impaired their ability to put out quality content because nothing can match what was before.

Edited by BOOMBOXCOLLOSUSS: 5/29/2026 7:38:16 PM"Never over deliver". Literally the motto than neutered the viability of the studio. Suits = Suck.

2 RepliesI bet they've had a catalyst for every exotic for years to drip feed us
-
Bungie please, rework the exotic class amor, add more exotics combinations, its the end, give us new exotic combinations.

4 RepliesIt was all meant to be in the next updates, they've said this repeatedly.
