Request to manually unlink deleted console accounts / Link new Steam account
Hello Bungie Support,
I am currently stuck and unable to manage my Bungie.net profile links. I recently sold my consoles and permanently deleted my old console accounts (PlayStation/Xbox).
Because these console accounts no longer exist, I cannot authenticate or log into them to unlink them myself. I am completely locked out of the unlinking process.
I want to link my new Steam account to this Bungie.net profile, but the system won't let me modify anything due to these dead console links.
Could you please manually force-unlink the deleted console accounts from my Bungie.net profile so I can successfully link my active Steam account?

may i ask why you deleted the accounts instead of sanitizing them of personal data and then just loging out? I would assume either account has value attached to them and some purchases.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Since the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url] from March 25th, 2025, only Twitch accounts are now eligible to be unlinked from Bungie profiles. All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, all platform accounts in question will remain linked.

you are stuck. even if you could recover the accounts, back in march, bungie removed the ability to unlink accounts. bungie won't do anything as they make zero exceptions.

Further, even if you could authenticate them you, yourself, would not be able to unlink them due to the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]March 25th 2025 linking change[/url]. You are unfortunately permanently stuck with those accounts linked.
