The Bungie execs did the community dirty. To hell with Marathon and anything else Bungie is cooking up. I will only ever come back for D3 or Destiny classic.

Bro I won’t buy another PlayStation if this is Sony decision

3 RepliesIm with you in this. I’ll never play marathon, it wont matter what bungie does, even if they add pve.

3 RepliesWith you on that, its Destiny, or nothing.
-
1 ReplyI doubt there will be any more Bungie games
-
1 ReplyLooks like D3 is in the works, dmg04 be tweeting, dropping hints
-
I’m just going to keep playing D2. Honestly no Bungie support for the game it will feel the same way it has for the last 5 years.
-
3 RepliesI'm not even sure I can afford a next gen console. LOL

11 RepliesGernaderjake said he loves marathon, which is fine, we all hate or love different games. But he also said to have any chance of d3 , support marathon, lol. Ok so everyone that hates marathon but wants d3, has to play it. Problem is bungo are laying off d2 staff. Sony have already spent $550m on concord and marathon. Whatever game bungo do it's costing millions, and years to make. So is the player base supposed to put money in to marathon, for a few years just in case bungo decide to do d3, but are happy to start making a total new game now, then in 5 years hope it's a success. What staff are going to make d3 at bungo, all d2 staff as been layed off by then. If bungo can afford to spend millions on a new game now, they can afford to do d3 which will be a success. It's a con to get money back , for there F*** ups on concord and marathon.

1 ReplyThey will probably shut down next year

Uh huh. You're willing to come back to D3. Which means you learned nothing, you're just butthurt. Lulz.

Man, now I see why widows often remain single. I mean, it makes sense, doesn't it? 😂

Edited by CookieNiki: 5/30/2026 12:22:38 AMSo...
Once Destiny dies, I will never play another Bungie game
... and immediately after...
I will only ever come back for D3 or Destiny classic.
Now we know for a fact that D3 and/or Destiny Classic won't be developed by Bungie. 😂😂

1 ReplyI feel same way you do. Bright side, I will play Mecha Break. Game looks awesome.
-
At this point, exactly who is going to hand Bungo funds to make another game?
-
You assume they'll last long enough to make another game. Unless between this update and whatever they're planning for Marathon that they prove they're worth the investment from Sony, they'll at best be downgrading to an indie game studio.

4 RepliesEdited by BOOMBOXCOLLOSUSS: 5/29/2026 7:57:23 AMIt doesn't HAVE TO die just because there's no new content. How many games live on after years pass because of the community, Destiny has the potential to resurge if people would go reach back and flood the posts with sherpa runs. We can choose to wallow, or we COULD choose to step up and recreate the best dang gaming community ever created, Maybe even so much so they they would have no choice but to recognize that we have the potential player base that can make our Destiny community truly infamous. If the players that know the game would reach back and shore up all those in the community that were left behind and newbies that have fallen through the cracks over the years. There could be a resurgence like we've never imagined. I truly believe that. We just gotta change out strat and refocus our pespective. It IS and Always will be the best part of Destiny, a unified community ready to pull each other up. We don't GET a new game regardless unless there is a community worth making it for. So are we gonna let corporate set the tone or are we going to show up and do something meaningful about it? Destiny needs it. This community needs it. The gaming industry needs it. What's it gonna be then?

And thank you for that!
