Ok look at it from a business prospective. The market is unstable with spending down mainly due to inflated game prices and economy. Most live service game fail. Bungie are struggling with marathon a new game that should be doing better and is still in a hole. Destiny as a product is no profitable and hasn't been for years. Bungie caused a 750 million impairment loss which Sony ain't happy about. There is zero guarantee a D3 would even do ok let alone great. A D3 would cost 200 plus million and 5 plus years which in that time a lot of people wanting it would move on. Bungie soon won't have the devs for such a project. Other studios under Sony can't do it they have their own stuff that has a better chance. Now with all that it makes no sense to make D3. People are fantasising Destiny 3 as this great thing but in reality you have no control over what it would be or if it would be good. Sony are being smart no making D3 and stopping support for D2.
