RALLY ON THE 9TH LITERALLY EVERYBODY WHO LOVED THIS GAME BEFORE NO MATTER HOW HURT YOU ARE FROM THIS GAME NOW THIS IS IT
Get the content creators on this train everyone who can, worst case scenario this speaks volumes of the ignorance of Sony and Bungie triumphantly despite failure.
Best case scenario, this mythos goes on with Sony and they change their mind the way they did with the spiderman game from innumerous outraged people calling them out challenging their decisions.
If you ever loved Destiny now isn’t the time to be bitter and hurt and turn your back on this franchise it’s the last chance you have to stand in honor of what you believed with your brothers and sisters you saw done injustice all along in what could’ve been that our voices are heard before this final wipe.
You don’t just give up, you don’t just quit, you find your strength because of what you believe in your heart and keep getting up and moving forward no matter what they throw at you because this is all some have got and too important in what it’s given a grand majority of us in growing as people and having a place we belong and make our happiness grow and shared for our willingness to keep pushing in this game.
It’s time we do that outside when Bungie is now so desperate they only would listen to their devs and us looking above at impending doom, this is our final stand, assemble with your brothers and sisters this is our best time to make our voices and feelings known this is where Destiny demands justice and lives in the hearts and spirits of many to the point that Sony feels dread at what they chose and backpedals because they fear what the other option is. So do it, stand with us, we have each others backs in this who believe in pushing for life for Destiny!
Don’t stop talking about it and pushing unless you need a bit to rest and get right back to it, this is it, fight with me and stand by me brothers and sisters this is it✊🏻

4 RepliesPretty sure the daily player count is more important than signatures to the people making decisions. Spoiler : it's 10 times lower.

1 ReplyEdited by Tired_Tyres: 5/25/2026 10:51:28 PM203,000 now. If it keep going up by 100K a day someone might notice. Probably not but we must fight to the last cos giving in is not a good idea.

Sigh. As much as I applaud the enthusiasm. Reality is this is a non binding vote of no confidence. What this means is business will continue to operate with little a consideration on this vote. Until you get the people on the board to consider changes nothing will happen. And those people are both well paid and well insulated enough to not care about daily operations. This was a business decision based on financial losses. You see this with stocks that always have say on pay for executives voted down every single time. You see this with consumer sponsored well meaning but ultimately wasted efforts to create change. You need to know how to sway the board which is not easy. To me this is a game I have years of time commitment. I look at this as potential opportunity for Bungie to restructure to provide slow updates to improve what is there. Getting out of new content and maybe just maybe surprising us with something new. Hoping for changes but already accepting the plan. Doesn’t mean I have to like it. Nor pay for it.

15 RepliesEdited by PS1 Hagrid: 5/26/2026 9:44:00 PMLet me clear and ask, you do realize a majority of those numbers are people who don't even play right? Think about it there are way more signatures than people playing the game atm. It has been known and is a common phenomenon that many people sign petitions without even knowing what they're about. They sign just to say they did something, we are all human afterall. And yes I do believe Sony understands this as with every other company. So just fair warning. Still won't change until June 9th and I'm sorry but a majority of the community are just done with the game, nothing to do with bungie or sony or even marathon. No many people are just done, they're tired and you can't speak for everyone. I loved the game too, I have since d1 alpha but even I just want the game to end. All good things do eventually, that's the way of life. Not to mention if a d3 was made what is stopping us from ending up right where we are now? And also what is stopping it from just being a copy of d2?

7 RepliesThe 7 stages of grief are a flexible emotional framework that helps individuals process profound loss or life changes. They include: shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, testing, and acceptance. These phases are not linear; they often overlap, repeat, or occur in a completely unique order.

Edited by everwilling: 5/26/2026 3:13:32 AMYou think out of 73 million players it would be a much bigger number . Also we are petitioning for songie to make a new destiny from scratch?! Nah I’m good .
-
I would like to reference an analog for optimism. Stop Killing Games... that petition was started 2 years ago in in 2024. It has 800k verified signatures. Save Destiny 2 ... in less than a week has almost a quarter million verified signatures. For 1 game. 😇👍💠

Play Destiny June 2nd it needs to out perform marathon

Dead game

There are more players than just those who are on at any one time. Lots of them are sleeping while others play or at work or school or whatever. Steam doesn't count players who are busy doing other things.

4 RepliesEdited by COMBATICUS: 5/26/2026 11:47:49 AMI wonder how many of those the same ppl signing the petition lol Because theres more ppl there than players active on destiny lol
-
Them signatures ain't gonna do a thing sadly its just how it is.

1 ReplyEdited by Northern: 5/26/2026 8:08:41 PMBased on Bungos figure of 60 million registered accounts, that works out at 0.4% of the maximum playerbase has signed the petition so far. A peaceful protest at Bungie HQ could see that figure surge to 1%. Has anyone asked Greta Thurnberg to step in? 😂
-
A million signature will not stop what is already in motion. And even if it made a difference, do you really want to be stuck with what we have now? The current player base is dwindling because we do not want what the game has become. I do not want them thinking that we want more of this current design.

3 RepliesDuuuuuude no we don't a d3 we need d1 and d2 to be good first even if it takes years omg guys 🤦♂️ i feel like that one good voice in the witnesses mind. If bungie can put out june 9th updates then they can change and reverse the mistakes they've made.
-
2 RepliesThis petition reminds of women that marry serial killers in prison. Misplaced love that Bungie doesn't deserve.
-
1 ReplySigned. My final act before I delete the app. Maybe a D3 is possible but I won’t give Bunghole another penny. -blam!- Bungie - let’s see if I can get another ban. -blam!- the -blam!- -blam!- ninjas on this forum too!
-
2 RepliesI added my name just to show interest in destiny I like the universe and would like to play more.
-
Marathon can only dream to have that many active players
-
10 RepliesIt's just too bad that many people don't play the game.
-
4 RepliesWell looks like a petition has more numbers than the active player base. In this market and with the amount of live service games that fail Sony won't allow D3 it's to high a risk best we can hope for is a single player destiny at some point.
-
1 ReplyCongrats. Now you all only need to pay $4,210 to convince Sony that Destiny is still financially viable.
-
Kinda sad really. Games been going for over a decade, let it go
-
3 RepliesI think people are going to be sorely disappointed when Sony ignores this or just says no. If it was to continue Destiny 2 it would be more likely to convince them to change their mind. Sony already shot down Destiny 3 multiple times due to costs and that was during the heights of Lightfall/TFS.

2 RepliesIts 1 thing to get 200k people to sign a petition, its another thing to get those 200k people to buy a DLC. They dont look at who's playing, they look at who's paying. They need justification for keeping the lights on
