Edited by Bobargus: 5/30/2026 1:06:10 PMI signed the petition in the hopes of getting a destiny game that a casual solo gamer can play from start to finish on their own, without needing help from other players. But if it becomes a game that tries to push people out of their shells forcibly, then i don't mind if the destiny franchise dies with its second game. Ever since i saw the post about this game's last update, i have been desiring to download and play destiny 2 one more time on june 9; but every time i choose to do so, i am reminded of my dungeon and raid experiences in the past and i end up cancelling it. To sum up, i have such a love-hate relationship with the game that even though i desire for destiny 3, i would also totally be okay if it all ended with the death of destiny 2.

5 RepliesSign the petition? You guys are a bunch of simpletons… Of course D3 will be made. It’s a money maker. It will be made. I give two shits who says it’s not. Making it makes sense. Making it under the current Bungie employee contracts does not make sense. If I remember right, the average pay at Bungie is in the mid-$300k. They need to lay off a bunch of over-priced developers and hire some new blood that wants to exceed expectations for a while. Destiny is one of the biggest console games there has been. If I were a betting man, I would be that it will come out with the next consoles, or just before. Plus, it gives the community a break, which would likely bring even many of those that left back for a new D3.

2 RepliesThe game is "going away", because it no longer makes Bungie enough money.
-
Welcome to the bargaining stage of grief. Depression is going to hit like a train.
-
You guys have fun with that. 👍 Good luck.

Signed, sealed, delivered.

2 Repliesbungie's done. you and everyone else are wasting their time with that petition because sony and bungie said there's never going to be a destiny 3. also, sony HAS PULLED ALL FUNDING from bungie
-
1 ReplyDo you know that the team who created Destiny 1 and 2 is gone? They leave. The currently team is who created the Portal system and the awful recently experience.
-
7 RepliesCan we knock it off with the petition already? We all know it's not going to change anything. It's getting really old and desperate.
-
I would love for this to be our "Twilight Gap" moment. But sadly, they don't care. They have lied and burned so many bridges. A shell of what they used to be. And there's only one answer to that MONEY.
-
2 RepliesSony has announced they're dumping PC format and reverting to exclusives. Sony also announced the PS6 will drop in 2029. I wonder what exclusive game they'll come up with to launch the PS6? My money is on D3 and Bungie will have nothing to do with it.

3 RepliesI've signed at the start, to that individual who spouts off that Marathon is the new D3, you keep taking the meds buddy. It resembles Destiny in no way shape or form, it's more relevant when compared to Crash Bandicoot and Crash Team Racing... Bungie, the company who built the Titanic, Sony, the Captain standing in the wheelhouse looking at a great white jagged something bobbing along minding its own business...hmmm, what next?
-
Signed.

21 RepliesDestiny 3 is Marathon. If Mthon Dies, so will Bungie. You can sign all you want but understand the role -blam!- and self centered gamers played in the current situation. The Survival of Bungie and success of Marathon are inextricably bound. We attacked Mthon, rather than making it successful, and, This is where it led

3 RepliesWaste of time....
-
Unless the petition gets a million signatures I’m not hopeful it’ll do anything to change Sony’s mind.
-
3 RepliesPeople do realize the numbers may seem high but there are more signatures than players at them moment. Like people do understand that sometimes folks sign petitions just to say they did something. We're all human after all. So like a majority of those signatures probably don't even know what it's about or haven't even played destiny
-
15 RepliesMaybe it's time to ask the mods to start culling the petition posts a little. It's getting real close to spam
-
I think 12 years of destiny is enough. It had its moment, just let it be.
-
1 ReplyAbsolutely not. Why some of you think the same devs won't royally blow a new Destiny is beyond me.
-
Nope, the franchise has run it's course. The playerbase drop off after the final shape showed Bungo the majority of players were done. Destiny should've ended with TFS instead of -blam!- dlcs that followed.
-
Hell no.
