Around August 2025, my Steam account was hacked. I contacted Steam support and they were able to get my account back but I had already been permanently banned from Destiny 2 when I got it back. Since then, I have tried numerous times to submit a ban appeal but it does not work. Every time I click to submit it signs me out of my account. I have tried on multiple different devices and different browsers over the past few months. I can provide evidence of Steam support confirming my account was hacked. I had been playing Destiny 2 for many years and have over 1000 hours on Steam so it would be very disappointing if I were to never be unbanned or even have a chance at an appeal being looked at.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. If you believe the ban was issued unfairly, the correct way to contact the security team regarding it is through the Appeal Ban or Restriction Contact Form. Please note that submitting an appeal does not guarantee a response or reversal of the ban. If you've already submitted a request, then you've done all you can for now and will need to wait for a response from the team. Please also note that ban appeals cannot be reviewed or handled through the forums.

Hey there. Is there a chance that the email address you have verified here on Bungie.net has been verified on another Bungie account, such as before you cross-saved? Could you try the following? Go to Settings, Email and SMS, Change the email to one that is 100% confirmed as never having been used on Bungie.net before (a totally new email account would be best). Verify the new email and then try to access the appeal form. Additionally - Bungie charges us all with the responsibility of keeping our accounts safe, by not reusing passwords on non secure sites, having 2FA activated, etc. Because of this, 'I was not using the account at the time' is not a valid ban appeal reason. Bungie bans by account, not by user.
