A story of of my time with Destiny.... I remember the midnight release of Destiny 1. I remember destroying the Black Heart and not knowing what the hell is going on. I remember my first Vault raid and how enthralled I was. I remember being stuck at level 29 for so long. I remember the friends I made in D1, some I know to this day 12 years later. I remember getting so close to killing Crota after hours of trying on a Sunday afternoon, just to see him bug out and jump off his platform and one shot our entire team. I remember the release night of Destiny 2, seeing the Tower destroyed in the Red War campaign, I remember getting my Hunter arms from The Leviathan raid, those same arms I wear on my Hunter to this day, many years later. I remember my girlfriend at the time who later became my wife taking a video of our apartment alarm going off while I continued playing as she poked fun at me. I remember the hours spent on raids, the excitement with each new expansion release, and the hours spent in Pantheon on Planets and finally Nezarec. In the time frame that Destiny has existed, I experienced some of the happiest times in my life. I fell in love with a girl, lived a wonderful life in our loft apartment together, got married, got pregnant and becoming the father to a beautiful little girl who trolls me all the time. Then to some of my darkest moments in life, losing friends, loved ones, going through a horrible divorce. To my life now with my daughter who turns 10 years old next month. It is hard to comprehend that my story above is just one players experience out of the millions of other players that exist. Some of their stories are shorter, some, far, far longer. The amount of impact this game has had on people is immeasurable. Thank you, Bungie for bringing me countless memories and awesome experiences I will soon not forget.
