Renegades had low sales because of the portal heavily contributed to the negative perception of the game. On top of that, the new Tier 5 progression system effectively sunset around 90% of the game’s content. The newly designed planet Kepler in the Edge of Fate, also looked bland and uninspired. Because of all this, Renegades never really had a chance, even though the actual content itself is good.
