It has been an experience throughout these years playing Destiny 2, I remember in the 3rd grade being a little kid, looking at the tv in the living room. An advertisement appeared, it was of the Red War live action trailer, all three Guardians fighting the Warbeasts in the hallway, and it culminated in a Dawnblade Warlock clashing with a Centurion midair. That is what sold me, my parents got it for me as soon as possible, it was amazing. I kept playing the game on and off, now I'm in my final year of high school, I've seen everything this title has gone through, and it is my favorite for a reason. When Pantheon came out me and a couple of people I met were on Planets, for 2 straight hours we talked, didn't play, but just talked. There was a guy, in his mid 20s, he was talking about his lovely wife and kids, it brought me joy hearing his kid's voice through the mic begging to have the controller. That is what this game is, not one to play just because, but one to connect through, a community like no other. I knew this was going to happen eventually, and even though I'm sad to see this game go, I'm glad it can finally rest. To everyone I met through these 9 years, to my clanmates who helped me become a Godslayer, and to my brother who has experienced this with me this entire time, thank you all. And Bungie thank you for not only Destiny but Halo Reach as well, my childhood was definitely one to remember because of yall. Farewell Guardians, may the Light always prevail within us.
