Recently I lost one of my best friends, who I was so close with primarily through Destiny and Destiny 2. We started playing Halo Reach in the 6th grade together with all our friends. At the beginning of 7th grade, Bungie released their new franchise, Destiny, and we played religiously. Then we went to high school and Bungie released Destiny 2, which of course we all played constantly. Thousands of hours into both. We played this game/franchise together with our friends for a literal decade.
This week he took his own life, and I do not know anything beyond that. My friends and I are beyond distraught. I found it only fitting that Bungie announced the end of service for D2 today.
I have attached a link to his profile on the website "Time Wasted on Destiny", his tag was prezin#5286 if it doesn't load. He and I were both top 3% players in terms of time, and he had a couple hundred more hours than myself. About as dedicated of a player as you can be without being a full time player/creator.
I am posting here because I thought that there was a chance that the community would show some support and love. I remember back in D1 when Bungie added "The Fate of All Fools" for one of their players, whom I cannot remember if they passed away or not. I was hoping to see something on a much smaller scale, maybe just a small little asset somewhere, but contained, hidden within this final update to the game. Maybe just the letter "P" placed somewhere randomly, or something related to his first Hunter main, or his D2 Titan main. Bungie does not seem to have a customer support email, so I guess the devs could only see something like this if it actually blows up. I know this is a total longshot, but I wanted to at least make this post and get this off my chest. Please no negative comments.
We all love and miss you P.

<3 that's rough. Hope you're okay. Let yourself grieve however you need and reach out if you want to just vent. I'm a stranger on the internet but if I can help ya, I'm here for it. One of my D2 friends was killed two years ago and yeah time helps, but it still hurts.

I’m here for y’all if you need to talk bro, and sorry for your loss but grateful that y’all had the time you did with each other

Bungie has only done that once. Since then, many have had the same request and have fallen on deaf ears. Sorry for your loss.
