So you managed to off yourself
In the end you destroyed your own game and managed to make it all feel like a waste of time with a giant FU in the end.

It wasn't to me a waste of time, but I get your frustration and feel things could have been handled very differently. This was not the ending I expected for Destiny 2 after they originally promised us at least two more expansions and didn't forsee things being so abrupt.
