1 ReplyIt’s not his fault. They probably knew the game was going this way. Hence why Blackburn left. Green is a long term servant of the company who was placed at the top to just go down with the ship probably on lower wages than someone they would have brought in. I think they tried this portal, hamster wheel knowing if it didn’t take them they’d have to stop the game.

5 RepliesGotta give him credit though. Comes in as game director -> nukes the game -> basically zero communication with the community -> 'fix things update' and then the game enters maintenance mode. Kinda impressive feat to do all that in ~2 years.

It's such a damned shame too since at least in the past we had real communication that wasn't just DMG making a piss-poor post that cemented him as a meme. Like, they could have done a Vidoc or just a simple estimate for what they had planned in the year. Hell, at least Digital Extremes streams some of the stuff they have going on in the works, yet somehow this guy and his team can't even manage the literal bare minimum of communication? I don't have particular hatred towards Marathon and the team working on it, but from what I've seen I genuinely expect them to end up going the Anthem route where they lack the direction to make the game thrive, nevermind survive long-term.
