Destiny 2 - Voice Work, Effects, and Post-processing
Hi All,
I've provided a link as context to this post.
By no means am I an expert in voicework, sound design, or mastering/mixing of the sort, but I am someone who loves writing and I've recently been putting more effort into giving voice to my own works.
For a long time I've been very taken with the talent displayed by the audio team, in particular their sfx and voice work/effects. One major stand-out for me was the outstanding performance of Joshua David King as Oryx in Act III: Heresy. His mellifluous delivery combined with work by the team has been such a pleasure to listen to, and I'm keen to know how they managed to achieve this so I can imitate and learn a few things myself (I use FL Studio if that counts for anything).
I appreciate that this is quite an ask, and may not be something that the staff can talk or comment on. In which case, take this post as at least a love-letter to the sound team and directors of the craft who's work breathe literal life and connection into Bungie's titles. There are so many ways that Bungie's audio/visual staff continue to demonstrate their world-class talent and reiterate why they're some of the best in the industry, and I mainly just want to try to learn a little from them.
Thanks for having a read, and I genuinely appreciate any guidance that could be provided.
