I had enough time to make a microwave dinner and pour myself some juice and grab some chips and I'm still waiting 🙃

When you see that's taking too long, just hit options and change character (same one). Mostly it doesn't take that long any more.

2 RepliesYou were queued into a full tower. To fix this, choose “change character” to exit the queue. Pick your character to go back to orbit and then re-queue into the tower. The issue needs addressed, but this will fix said loading loop in the meantime.

Question.... were you in your menu? if you're in your menu it delays your tower landing...and any other loads to any location including crucible... If any player is in their menu that's queued for whatever location it drastically lengthens load time The more there are the worse it is

It's because bungie still supports old gen consoles. When you load into the tower, on the backend bungie is joining you with a "fireteam" that can be as big as 30'ish people and it loads you all in together. If one person has an old gen, everyone else has to wait for their hardware to load the tower.

iFibuhLayoffs coming 31st July 2026...... 👀 - old
Networking, crossplay desync & old gen cause wildly differing tower load times. Towers are created on demand so if you're flying longer than a min, change character & then try again & you'll nearly always get a new tower with like 3 people there & load straight away. -
1 ReplyIts realism. What planet were you flying from/to? Could be a while if you were way out there.
