Why is it that in only 2 activities do threshers have crit spots and in everything else they're tanks? On top of that why are they so tanky to everything, even with perks like deconstruct and vorpal it makes no difference in the damage they take

It’s been awhile since i last played the game but genuinely the most pathetic weapon to even try to take them out has to be 1K voices. The explosions just feel like they don’t count as damage. It’s one of my favorites to mess around with and it’s just sad that a heavy exotic can’t do like any damage whatsoever when those things are just tanks.

They count as "objects" so a lot of modifiers don't affect them damage wise and have higher damage resistance at base... the damaged scaling for "vehicles" is all over the place because they're not used all that much so in higher difficulty the scaling is not balanced...
