FFS People, Stop Begging For D3!
I didn't spend the last 11 years grinding to throw everything away for a new mmo with another 20 year grind. I'm not gonna live forever you know. Besides, we just need to take away the number 2 and call it Destiny with named DLC's. New content plus keep my $#IT, there everyone's happy.

No, the well is poisoned on D2. It's still fun, but a new game with a new non FTP model and a chance to revamp the sandbox as well as change foundations out would do wonders for the franchise.

Long time players don’t care about new gear when they’ve collected everything multiple times already. Powercreeping our current gear only works so many times. You can have some things transfer over, but most stuff should stay where it is.

Edited by NotCreative123: 5/19/2026 5:02:13 AMD3 is fine as long as I don't have to waste another hundred hours grinding for weapons I had in both D1 and D2 Seriously, the absolute worst part of Destiny is how unappreciative it is of time spent. After 100 hours playing, I should have evry gun unlocked, and maybe have some shakers or emblems left to chase. But all the useful loot should be unlocked. I DESPISE how much time it takes to unlock stuff in modern games. Destiny is one of the worst offenders out there, because the RNG is crazy. Seriously, its like a 1 in 10000 chance of getting a gord roll for most weapons, AND that's assuming g you can even get it to drop in the first place. I blame streamers and PVE sweats (and ultimately Bungie) for taking away Crafting. And let's not even get into how much harder it is to figure out how to balance the sandbox when not all players have access to all guns.

D2 it doesn’t have that pve satisfaction I got in d1. I have like 100 hours in Pve and like thousands of hours in PvP. I’m a pvp sweat.

Nope. D3. An entirely new story line with new enemies. Not reskinned Falllen and Cabal; new movement and new weapons. No Traveler, no being told what to do by Ikor, etc. Me as the main character and able to TALK!!! No ghost either because I just want to shoot that forker. A new solar system at the very least and hopefully a new galaxy. And I want a bike and a new baseball mit.

You can live forever happy using your gear in the exact same worn-out content, and with barely anyone to play with.

1 ReplyEdited by Cooper: 5/17/2026 6:09:18 AMIf they actually used a engine that could handle new additions in an relatively understandable amount of time no one would be opposed to Destiny continuing but they want to use a engine from 2005 or whatever that breaks at the slightest touch while taking forever to add the smallest thing. That's why warframe & FF14 for example can expand for about the same time yet not suffer the same issues. Personally I dont want a Destiny 3 under bungie because they themselves are incompetent yes is the community a problem to an extent but the community would change if the devs actually were responding to general feedback properly instead of half doing it.

As much as I love the thought of destiny going on forever, thats just not realistic. Sorry bro but unfortunately, the only to move forward is to make a D3 if you really want more destiny. You gotta think about the pros to this, D2 was first made on the ps4. There were and still are a ton of restrictions. If bungie made a D3, it could be for ps5 and pro, maybe ps6 in a few years. Im using the playstation as an example as it’s easier to tell generations compared to the xbox. Bungie can really go all out with a D3 as well, we can have more disparity between classes and finally make them what they are designed to be. Bungie could finally make more subclasses without limitations, more maps, more weapons. A new game also means new mechanics that the current D2 cant simply do. Lets face it, destiny is dead right now, there is no content that will make anyone come back anymore.

It’s an online coop fpsrpg, Act and Bungie called it a Shared World Shooter. It’s best just to refer to it as a coop game, cause most the time you’re only playing with 3-6 people in sight unless it’s PvP. They came up with that because the count is too low to be an mmo. Because it gives the opportunity for Bungie to make a Destiny game that is designed to last a lot longer than 2 years before running into issues. Loot system in Destiny always craps out within like 2 years where they reach critical mass and either need to sunset or powercreep the next set of loot. Progression system would need more long term grinds but not like gear score system they had for years since that sucks and basically no-one likes it. Though the possibility of a Destiny 3 happening is non-existent since it would take YEARS to develop into an acceptable state at release because I don't think people could take another D1 or D2 release with just 4 planets, campaign, some strikes, crucible and a single raid.

Agree. Don't need another iteration. Just gimme a dedicated server, network working, all sunset planets and stories and from time to time some new content. A complete story run from start to end. Of course, some "entitled idiots" ran that through in 25 minutes and then complained about content drought... 😉❤️

Aren’t tired of running around the same places and stuff, it’s like edz what’s it worth not a lot. The earth it’s big enough for us to go to other parts of it to find new things to do.

Its not that I want a D3, but I want them to just stop adding stuff to D2 thats ruining it. It absolutely should have ended with Final Shape. The tiered loot, the Portal, all the Feats... its like they smooshed a completely new/different game into the old one, and now half the content is either useless, irrelevant, or bugged & ppl complain "there's nothing to do". All the new stuff should have went to a D3.
