All other platform accounts, once linked, are linked permanently. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, the Xbox account in question will remain linked. We therefore recommend reaching out to Xbox's support team for assistance in recovering the account, as adjusting/enabling Cross Save will require authenticating all linked platform accounts, Xbox included. If they cannot assist you with account recovery, then your Cross Save configuration, or lack thereof, will remain as is.
