We all know how nothing planets are and how after the campaign and a few triumphs, we don't really look back. This sucks as way back Planets were the pve activity, the place to level up and earn new gear.
Wouldn't it be nice if Planets became a pve activity once more ? Running around on different planets, seeing different environments, seeing different life forms, ruins and just interacting with it more than just running from mission to mission during the campaign.
Expand on the Public event system, take from the past, like Vex invasion during season of the undying.
Take the system from Dreaming city where on the third cycle the enemies would grow stronger, but make the reward better. The Public event could be what the final bosses are in the Pale hearts.
Wanted / High value targets a kin to Season of the Hunt, has a small chance of appearing and will drop weapons of that planet. Escalation protocol, need i say more ?
Lost sectors could get a bit of a face lift too, making some harder, longer and some with puzzles and jumping segments. Just something to make them more interesting and fun to do. We are just rushing through them now and it is not very fun.
Update the loot to be that of an activity. Unique armor, weapons, emblems, titles.
Fishing could come back from season of the Deep and these fishes could be turned in for rewards and rare fish would give you an exotic.
Just so tired of every planet having the same public events, the same lost sector styles and how pointless it is to spend any time on them. I know that this will never happen because Bungie don't like work or this game. But it sure would be nice if planets became a viable activity again. There is only so many times i can run the same Fireteam ops missions.

You would be interesting to have a patrol rotator with bonus objectives and events happening on the location in question that would be neat

3 RepliesPreaching to the choir! Great take and in agreement with you entirely. Planets should be live ecosystems like every other MMO in existence. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/265189620

1 ReplyI've said this a bunch of times in older posts and agree wholeheartedly. They should also implement day and night throughout the planets. At night have barriers and Unstops appear throughout public events (obviously make loot better as well). Add lots of bounties take the Portal out,but bring it back in the weekends for double XP/loot. Give the planets options like normal to gothic (also with better loot). So much can be done to keep players hooked

6 RepliesWarFrame - as a new player, each planet had a mission track, with each new mission appearing as a waypoint, which could only be accessed once the preceding waypoint mission was completed. It was easily understood, and fun to do. Clear one planet, then move on to the next one. By the time all missions were done, one’s knowledge of the game was pretty solid. WarFrame has a lot of good stuff going on…Sony should have spent their billions in acquiring them, rather than the BHQ 🍋… Imagine what might emerge if the WarFrame Devs were given free rein to develop a special collaborative project with Destiny?! 🤩 Imagine if WF Devs were brought on as Consultants for D3…🥳 Hmmm? 🤔 That is all. Ease Things! 🖖👻 (MR24 😎)
