Hi, I’ve been having connectivity issues with the game since around guardian games came out.
When logging on the game I’d get centipede and when queueing Supremacy or IB I would get coconut 4 times out of 10. Even going to the tower gives me coconut at times.
My connection doesn’t seem to have any issues on other multiplayer games (rivals, warzone, apex)
I’m playing wired and I have the following ports forwarded to my PS5 TCP: 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480 and UDP: 3074, 3078-3079.
My internet speed is 200 up/down with a 40 ping to EU servers on other games.
I’ve tried the following:
-Restarting the router via software or turning off the router for 1 minute.
-Factory resetting my router with the only device connected being the PS5 then reenabling port forwarding.
-Factory resetting my router with the only device connected being the PS5 then enabling UPnP (no port forwarding).
-Factory resetting my router with the only device connected being the PS5 then leaving the default settings (no UPnP/forwarding).
At this point I don’t know what else to try, I got a 1 week PvP suspension due to networking issues last week and this is just out of my hands.
If any moderators see this post please I would take any suggestions at this point.
EDIT: Finally SOLVED. After a LOT of troubleshooting I figured out that the culprit was the router. When going to the system logs i was getting the following error every 10 seconds:
daemon.notice pppd[XXXX]: len < 0
daemon.notice netifd: internet (XXXX): len < 0
This means that the router is having difficulties maintaining the WAN connection.
My setup was a ONT(modem) with a separate Router over PPPoE.
I turned the ONT back to a router and removed the previous router.
Now it’s working, the issue was the old router struggling to handle PPPoE.
Hopefully it’s useful info.

1 ReplyHi there, Thanks for reaching out. Coconut and Centipede errors are both indicative of network issues. These can be caused by problems affecting your specific network hardware, packet loss, or greater issues affecting your ISP which are being passed on to you. Further, all of this is possible even if your connection seems fine at a glance. To that point, we recommend consulting our Network Troubleshooting Guide to explore potential solutions you haven't already tried. If that doesn't help, the next step would be checking our Optimizing Connections page. Following that, if issues still persist, we would recommend reaching out to your ISP for more hands-on assistance in troubleshooting your network setup.
