Cross Save
When I originally set up cross save, I made a random epic and steam account that I never really intended to use. I took a break from the game and eventually migrated to pc. I'm using a different steam account and cannot unlink the throwaway steam account from cross safe. I do now see that sometime in 2025 that ability was taken away but I wasn't paying attention the to the game as a whole. I wanted to play the game now on steam instead of epic but now cross save is disabled for 90 days, and I can't even do what I was attempting to do.

The original Steam account has to stay linked on this Bungie profile, and you’ll need to wait out the current 90‑day Cross Save lock before you can set Cross Save up again with the accounts that are already attached. In the meantime, you can still play on your new Steam account, but it will be its own fresh set of characters and progression.
