[b][u]Gameplay Theory[/u][/b]:
The gameplay loop is quite simple-
[b]-Eager into high value targets
-Drop [i]Barricade[/i] for [i]Overshield[/i] and all the buffs with it
-1:2 with [i]Bastion[/i] and quick melees to delete targets[/b]
The simplicity is what makes this build. There is no real intensity for waiting out CDs. It's really just a matter of upkeeping one's Barrier, a simple task with the selected Armor Mods. Here's a quick numerical breakdown of what's happening-
[i][b]Bastion[/b] +300% Melee Damage with [b]Saint's Fists[/b] active
[b]Offensive Bulwark[/b] +100% Melee Damage with an [b]Overshield[/b]
[b]Sythoceps[/b] +165% Melee Damage when Surrounded.
[b]Singularity Blade[/b] 15% Weakening on Melee with a Void Buff active[/i]
Dropping your [i]Barricade[/i] activates 2 out of the 3 requirements for these buffs to be attained. Then it's just Punch, Fire, Punch, Fire, activating both [i]Saint's Fists[/i] & [i]Saint's Fury[/i] with [i]Bastion[/i].
The rest of the build is kitted around survivability, with any Eager working here, and any shortranged Primary to compliment the build. Repulsor Brace is an idealized perk within this build, and whether that is in the Energy slot or Heavy slot is entirely up to the player. The Grenade serves as Ad Clear, as does the Shield Bash, yet both are also interchangeable with various other abilities.
What must be consistent? [b][i]Bastion+Bastion[/i][/b]. This build is performing even in -50 content. And even though it isn't quite the same potency as [i]Solar Wormgod's[/i] it offers incredible utility to a Fireteam and a rather unique playstyle to boot!
