Good evening everybody, this is Aifos coming to you alive from the Forgotten Lands! If you've been around Offtopic for any length of time, you probably know that I am an author, with no less than not one, but two books under my name! And now we just hit three!
No one knows when or how it happened, but the world came to an end. Now, all that remains is a scattering of islands floating adrift in the void, but even this will not last, for what few memories remain are fading still. Given time, they too will vanish into nothing—taking everyone and everything with them.
To avoid this fate, Dreamweavers set out each year to collect power from the world's strongest remaining memories, and in doing so they reinvigorate the memories of their homes, keeping them from fading away. But these journeys are fraught with danger, as the memories of those forgotten are twisted into violent spectres known as Dreamwalkers.
Follow a journey spanning many years as a new group of Dreamweavers sets out to protect their home. Soon they begin to uncover the truth of those who came before them, and the long-buried secrets of how the world crumbled away all those ages ago.
And so they dive deeper, and deeper into the abyss, sustained only be the strength of their hearts, and the bonds they share between them.
Yet, this journey is never what it seems.
This one was really fun. I really love this group of protagonists, they're probably my favorite protag group I've made, and I think the world and the overall vibe is this neat kind of surreal dreamland type thing. The story has a bit of an odd structure to it, where you're following their adventures over the course of five years, and most chapters are about how they arrive at a new place searching for some magical MacGuffins. I think this structure is really fun, but as I was going through editing, it did seem to be a little hit or miss--some people loved it, others held it as the book's biggest downside...
Still, I like this book. It would mean a whole lot if you were to pick it up and perchance give it a read!
Now, I'm not allowed to link it directly, but it is easily found on Amazon by searching "Dreamweavers Michael Tillotson".
Finally, if there is anyone here who's been reading my books, I have good news for you! My next book is actually already in the editing phase. I wrote it and Dreamweavers side by side. So, there will still be a little bit of a wait, but not as long as usual, so that's fun!
But that's all for now folks! Buy my book. Jambuhbye!

3 RepliesLove the cover art, looks great. Maybe I'll dive in, does your books need to be read in order, or are each their own standalone story?
