19 RepliesIt's 1000 spots. You have way too much stuff you don't need . Unreal everything they give us more space someone start complaining about more space.. if they make 2000. You will cry I need more space. Vault management is important.

I can see how that could happen. My vault was full before this expansion and I've been mostly deleting things so I don't get in that situation again but it's hard with all the different sets of armor they have. Was this their answer to vault space?🤷 I wouldnt be surprised....

Wouldn't doubt it🤣

1 ReplyBungie just needs to allow you to change armour type distribution in other words paragon to grenadier etc. Auto distribute stats in line with armour type. So a 40 might become a 30 on different type. Running 3 characters easily fills the vault. Having sets for weapons, greenade, super etc requires more sets of the same type. This could also be done for weapons in the perks, once you unlock different perks you can select them so only 1 or 2 weapons required rather the 5+. As you get a better role change perks to suit. Delete others. Yeah I hoard for the rainy day. Why should I have delete?

3 RepliesBungie has made no mention of vault space increase, and they just gave us more slots not that long ago. It's unlikely that we'll get more space in June, I would suggest deleting stuff.

3 RepliesYou most likely have duplicates. I know that i sure do just throw armor pieces in the vault. Gone through the Vault a couple of times and seen a bunch of dupes. Got rid of around 200 pieces before. Same with weapons, you sure got some that you are never going to use. I mean we do have 1000 slots now. It is not hard for us to just carelessly throw stuff in there just because we got to space for it.

Right now I have my character full on ready to delete every single item in the 9 slots > I've prepared this on DIM > its part of the game to choose what you will keep and what you will trim. I always thought armor should not be what it is.. simply a base metal that evolves with guardian and can be imbued with stats and powers and ornaments of every sort... not taking up any vault space. Your guardian just earns the stat points and exotic capabilities and just has a drop down menu to take care of it. I am very interested in filling up the vault with weapons however... and in this regard I get to test them in the activity PVP/PVE and if they don't perform I toss it out unless I believe its just such a great roll it will have its day. I go trim when it goes over 900 so I never feel like I can't play... ...but I also play 1 character and do not care about raid & dungeon since no MM and Explorer mode ....anyway you play you have to keep some kind of discipline in that vault, gamify it for yourself... I actually find keeping up the vault to be enjoyable thanks to DIM I just checked... I have 881 weapons - 16 in postmaster - 60 in my other sherpa characters (not taking vault) - 27 on my character for delete -3 equipped = 775 weapons in vault space (837 in vault now meaning armor taking up 62 vault spaces (not on character[s])... DIM lets you calculate... (a bit more trim than usual in prep for IB) -

Now seriously, I just keep armor with the perks I prefer. Like the iron banner armor, is really great. I haven't played in a while, but may come back to grind some tier 5 armor on iron banner

4 RepliesIts not the vault space that is the issue, its that we need to keep so much in it. Armor sets, exotic class items, exotic armor, random roll weapons. The ability to reacquire gear that we have already had and needed to delete is very tedious. Crafting was not perfect, but really helped alleviate a lot of vault space issues because if we were not actively using something, we could scrap it and craft again when we wanted to use it. I often run into vault space limitations, and during those times, I really dont want to play the game because constantly having to delete gear during and after an activity gets really dull, fast. I personally have never cared for the RNG systems in this game, but do really like the gunplay and space magic. I dont really play for the loot, and wish I could just turn off all drops if I wanted to. I am hoping that they work out some sort of armor crafting or vault storage system for armor so that I dont have to have more than half my vault occupied with armor sets just in case I want to try a different build with different armor sets or stat splits. I feel that this armor system was one step forward and 2 steps backwards. I like the idea of the armor set bonuses, but hate what it has done to my vault.
