For 7-10 days I’ve noticed my right bumper not swinging the sword properly. I’m on Xbox series X with OEM controller. Is there an issue?
What I’ve tried:
1. Different controller
2. Hard reset of console
3. Removed and re-paired both controllers
4. Reset controller in settings area to “default”
5. Problem occurs wireless and connected USB
6. Checked and updated controller in Xbox settings
7. All buttons are responsive and accurately when testing in Xbox settings. When you press either bumper, and all other buttons it immediately shows on screen.
I’m sure I’m leaving out a couple troubleshooting methods. I’m an IT guy so before I reach out for help I’ve exhausted all means of trying to isolate the problem.
What’s happening is I’m right on ads or other enemy and trying to swing my sword and I’m just standing there.
I plan to try to find another game that uses the bumpers and see how they perform to see if it’s D2 or something else.
It also seems like there is a LONG delay when trying to drop a rift or class ability while in battle. And there are times I try to drop a rift and it takes it from me but no rift drops. So I have to wait for it to charge back up and hope it drops next try. Pretty frustrating in GMs.
All these issues seem to be recent problems. My next test with Destiny is to uninstall and re-install the game.
Any advice Bungie?

Hi there, Thank you for your detailed report. We understand you're experiencing issues with button inputs and abilities. We're sorry to hear of these issues, as we can imagine their impact. We've actually received reports of what you describe experiencing with rifts and are looking into that issue at this time. What you describe experiencing with the Praxic Blade and your controller, however, is unfamiliar. So we can investigate this latter issue more effectively, please consider using your platform's share feature to capture a videoclip which demonstrates what you've been experiencing. If you record a clip, you can upload it to a site like Youtube and link us to it here. We'll then investigate this further.
