Maybe it's time to move away from live service?

Make a solo Destiny inspired game for D3. They can add online co-op stuff as DLC. No crappy onboarding for new players and they get to keep and replay the WHOLE story without pieces being constantly shoved back into a vault.

  • Honestly, this is the first "live service" game I ever played... and I realize I kinda hate it. I'm old... like, I played the fist Halo ever, on the original xBox, with the wired controller lol And that was great. Buy a physical game, pop it in, eventually beat it & count the days till they make a part 2, maybe buy other games in the meantime. You never had to worry about any "updates" that might ruin the original game, make you fall behind, or fundamentally change the user-interface. You could always replay the same game, in its original glory... but the live-service aspect is what ruined the Destiny franchise. The portal, the seasonal model, the time-gating is all possible due to the live-service. The D2 that we have now is so sad compared to what it used to be. I enjoy the "online" aspect, being able to connect & play with friends... but I dont think I'll ever purchase another live-service game again. I'd rather spend my money on 12 separate/new games, than 1 single game that has been reworked 12 times.
