Back when cross save was released I linked my xbox account with my steam account. I have since completely lost that steam account's password and such. My mother made it for me when I was young but she completely forgotten the account's password and got nowhere with getting the password reset back when I had gotten logged out of it by accident. I've since made my own account and want to play destiny 2 again on that new account without starting over. But of course I would have to unlink my old steam account to do that, of which I would need to log into again to do, which brings us to the problem. I need my old steam account, the one currently linked to my xbox one for destiny 2 cross save, removed so I can replace it with my current one. The biggest problem here is that I don't really know how to verify myself in this situation other than "trust me bro I'm the same guy I swear" so I don't even know if this issue is possible to fix. I understand if there's nothing that can be done but I'd still like to try.
