My account setup is as follows: • Primary (Main) Platform: Steam (This is where I originally started playing). • Active Playing Platform: PlayStation (Linked via Cross-Save). • The Problem: I no longer have access to the credentials (email/password) for my original Steam account. I want to stop playing on PlayStation to avoid the PS Plus requirement and move back to PC using a new Steam account. However, I am concerned about the following: 1. Character Loss: Since my characters were originally created on the lost Steam account, will unlinking that account from my Bungie profile delete my characters entirely across all platforms (including PlayStation)? 2. Authentication Requirement: Bungie’s site usually requires authentication for all linked accounts to disable Cross-Save. Is there a recovery path if the "Main" account cannot be logged into? 3. Migration to New Steam ID: If I am able to disable Cross-Save, can I link my current PlayStation progress to a new Steam account, or is the progress permanently "tethered" to the original Steam ID? I have purchased multiple DLCs and have years of progress that I am desperate to save. What is the safest way to proceed when the primary account is inaccessible?
