For about a year now destiny one has had a major issue with its multiplayer servers. As far as I can tell it doesn’t impact all players, but seems to be a regional issue. Here in Utah, the tower is practically inaccessible, and every time you try to enter it you get a code beaver.
This impacts both the tower and the reef, as well as crucible. Patrol areas and strikes unaffected. But crucible is completely inaccessible, because you will always get a code beaver after waiting 30 minutes for a lobby.
I could live without crucible personally. But the tower being practically impossible to get to is a massive problem. Quests cannot be progressed, engrams can’t be opened, and 80% of the game cannot be played.
I’ve been introducing my little brother to the game the last few days and he’s loving it. But we have to sit and spam launch to the tower praying not to get kicked from the server. The game simply isn’t in a playable state. I don’t know if this is a regional server issue but the fact that I can hardly play my favorite game, which I paid for in full is insane.
Bungie already has built a reputation of taking paid content away from players. It does not matter if it’s legal or not, it’s a disgusting business practice and there will be no future for this company if changes aren’t made now. The fact that I can’t play red war, Osiris, warmind, or forsaken is awful enough. Not being able to access destiny 1 is completely unacceptable. I’ve been playing this game across different accounts since it came out in 2014, and have a passion for it. I demand action.
