I don't think I'd be as bummed if they were just honest with us from the finally of the final shape. Even though I suspected we would not get what they were hyping up, it didn't stop them from REALLY hyping up what was coming. Huge roadmaps spanning years turned into expansions that felt like seasons. Mid content updates that felt more like tuning passes with an event. Then roadmaps shown, but the content was barely servicable, to promises of a new roadmap that never came. To "content" being delayed. Why did they need to delay the content? You would think it was ready to ship right? But they have to delay it so they can do qol stuff... Man, release the content and do qol as you go. Like during the weekly resets of old when we would get regular tuning passes etc. Speculation of course, but they didn't have to delay the mid season update. They are pivoting. But the big "changes" coming shouldn't have needed a pivot at all. These are all things that have been wanted for months now, and a lot of them have been promised by Bungie themselves, saying "it's coming!" Well, if it was coming, then why do you need to derail the whole train to do it? Something -blam!- is going on.
