Was checking out first impressions of marathon on socials
Negatives..
It doesn’t seem good….
The ui is very unpopular…
The colours are nauseating to many…
The map feels empty and sterile… will get boring fast…
Game didn’t feel ready….
All the guns look the same when looting…
Positives
The gunplay was praised and there were people that liked the art direction…

The art direction was probably the only thing I liked of what I saw from it lmao. I can see why others dislike it though, it’s not exactly a safe bet.

I was bored watching it so read YouTube comments instead, generally agreed with your post - very little excitement, for a brand new game. A few seemed to enjoy it. It does look like a big amount of destiny players moved across too, as bungie wanted. Bungie will tell them when to come back too, puppet masters. Got thes 🤡 on string

The faction rankings aren't the only paths to unlocks but I'm not exactly sure how that works... because I keep unlocking stuff in other factions despite basically focusing on one. The AI are often harder than players. I need to get my heat stat up... but that's just a me problem. The UI text is a tad small and heals should be at least half as much. Initially it felt weird, I didn't like that I couldn't adjust my settings without skipping the tutorial. But when I got over that minor mole hill, the D2 setting transfer 1to1. And once I did that smooth sailing. Only 2 deaths all night, queuing with randoms. One of those was trying a solo run. I lost my Magnum 😭. One was backing out of the tutorial... My Vault is almost full, I'm already selling backpacks and guns to save space. The lobbies are fully mixed, PC advantage... I haven't seen it yet. I kit, I bring one gun, and 6 heals split and ammo. And I follow loot my team, go ahead... have 1st pick... it has not mattered I still leave with like 4-5k min and full pack... and I'm just getting started. What's really cool, is if you put better attachments on a lower tier gun... it upgrades the base gun... independent on the attachments. Ex. Grey gun... Purple and green attachments... now it the guns base is blue + the attachments. I also got lucky with some cores. I got one that makes my med drone add stat buffs to my team... another that removes any pings or enemy aggro when my shields break. I think I'm level 8. Once I learn the maps completely... progression will be faster. 😇👍💠
