Marathon Redacted my Bungie name
Launched the server slam and it redacted my name??? What the -blam!-. You're telling me my actual name MADDIE is not allowed? I've had it for years on Destiny. Better yet, it changed the name across marathon AND destiny. I won't play either game if it's not fixed, that's so messed up.

If you'd like to appeal your name change please view the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48629]Appeal Ban or Restriction Contact Form[/url] and make sure to select that your Bungie Name was changed. Keep in mind, personal information such as names is not allowed per name policy

Just played the marathon server slam as well and after having the same Bungie name for 10 year of Destiny my name was redacted as well. I submitted a request to change my name back to “Dvatt”… Please Bungie I have so many gaming friends that know me as Dvatt rather than my IRL name.

Edited by djcookie88: 2/26/2026 8:11:32 PMI have the same issue. Even though I was able to change my name back to original, my Bungie ID has changed which is totally weird, neither is ok. I have submitted and appeal via Contact Form, and hopefully it will be fixed. To be honest, it killed all my mood and hype of playing the game right now. Edit: I got a reply on my appeal, and marked as solved. But it did not solve my problem, because I can't change it to what it was before, with original Bungie ID -> djcookie88#5732.

Same happened to me. Myth must be really offensive I guess. Never was an issue. Log into Marathon, boom, name's gone. Now I have to learn new Bungie numbers... wonderful.
