Account can't unlink from steam
my steam account got banned but i can't unlink bungie now...
I know normally its policy for bungie not to unlink after linking a gaming platform but my steam account got banned almost 3 years ago. I have since then been using another steam account all together.
the steam account that got banned was stolen and the email linked to it as well. for a while i was playing the game though epic but id love to play destiny again though my new steam account. I want my progress to come with me as ive spend thousands of hours playing this game and i would a thousand more if i could.
I need someone from support to force unlink my steam and keep my latest progress since i played through epic. I want to link my new steam account and play through that moving forward as i was considering getting a steam deck to play even more on the go and honestly i am much more comfortable using steam than epic anyways its much more user friendly and stable.

You can't unlink a banned account, and furthermore ever since March 2025 you can't unlink any account at all anymore (except Twitch).

Hi there! As of March 25th 2025, it is no longer possible to unlink platform accounts from Bungie.net profiles. For more information, please check out the below article: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025 Before this date, you must be able to authenticate the account in order to unlink it. If the account was suspended or actioned by the platform that would prevent you from logging into it, you would not be able to unlink it or perform other activities, such as deactivate Cross Save. If you are unsure as to why your account was actioned, please reach out to your platform's support team to receive clarification. Please do not bring up any function or features, such as account linking on Bungie.net, as this will cause confusion and your platform support team would point you back to here.
