I just found out a long-time Destiny friend has past away on February 4th 2026. His name was Derrick (aka Inkling72, aka Whaagwon); he was 53. I met him in January 2015 playing D1; he was like a long-lost brother. We hit it off right away and became great friends. We even met up a couple of times over the years and had some drinks. Hard to believe I'll never hear his voice again. It goes to show how short life is and not to be taken for granted. Pick up the phone and reach out to those you care about, because, well, you never know. I just wanted to come on here to let the community know he existed for a time. I'll never forget the great times with the fellas playing this game: the laughs from delirium from playing till the wee hours of the morning, the Raids, Crucible, all of it. I wouldn't change a thing, only that I wish we had more time. So I just want to say, thank you Bungie, for making this game and allowing our paths to cross. I'll never forget you, Derrick. May you rest in peace. Till we meet again, brother 🙏😢
