Instead of the super vanilla three loadouts you can get from Ikora how about Ikora have current builds that give semi focused gear to start with a brief explanation of the gameplay loop that uses the exotic that goes along with the quest as well as a “why” as to how the aspects an fragments were chosen and build synergies. You can even have just builds that go with each exotic and not include gear so the player can earn their gear and feel accomplishment when they complete their builds; here is “the plague doctor” a prismatic warlock that uses Necrotic Grips/ Spirit of Necrotic to have the plague half of the name covered make sure to use with a weapon of sorrow for spreading poison unless you’re using an exotic glaive, use healing grenade and healing rift for survival and group support can use warlock class glaive for a third type of healing build with lightning surge facet of awakening to use your arcane needle charges to poison AoE large groups of enemies which being light based damage will help charge your melee abilities(loopy I know)

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but Bungie doesn't even seem concerned with keeping current players much less attracting new ones. I wouldn't suggest this game to anyone. Half the relevant story content is "vaulted" and it clearly doesn't have a future. If anyone wanted to try Destiny, I'd point them to D1. It's not perfect, but at least the story is there.

3 RepliesActually really neat idea. When I got started I was lost for a while because of how many exotics and different weapons there were. Something like that would work really well to give you an idea on how builds work.

1 ReplyGood idea, I had suggested something along the line at the shooting range where new players could try out pre made build, available only in the range. But at least that would give them hands on experience on how powerful things can get when build crafting as well as directing the grind to acquire the gear.
