Since Destiny has been put on the back burner for Marathon, there is no reason for many to even log in. I have played this game since launch, and over the years I have watched it become sweatier and sweatier with ridiculous mods, more and more complicated mechanics to the point replayablity is unwelcoming. You can't keep people in the game if you make it too much of a chore. It may help if you un-nerf weapons like mint retrograde, maybe remove penalities from positive modifiers perminantly, eliminate res tokens in activities, I don't know, do something. Free bright dust does not cut it. The way you ignore this game and its community certainly does not tempt me into trying Marathon. You only get out of something what you put in. Don't count entirely on Marathon saving the day.
