Why is a team is full of flawless and 5.0KD players and the other one with blueberries? And if the score is 110 vs 34 why dont you end the game and and why is no one joining us when someone leaves but when I,m queing you drop me in matches currently in progress.
Edit: in response to this post Bungie just issued me a warning for restriction on account for poor connection for impacting other players activity. Now my pc is next to the router connected by wired lan my PS5 is wifi 5G speed is 350-400/Mb/s upload speed while download speed is 60/Mb/s.

Why? Making Marathon is hard work. - Bungie.

2 RepliesBungie’s matchmaking works off combat rating. At this point in the game, sometimes someone’s combat rating doesn’t align with their actual skill rating. The issue with Destiny is that adjusting someone’s skill rating, or keeping it as a variable that grows with a player’s skill, is expensive to maintain. Since Bungie’s PvP is not really monetizable, you can’t expect them to invest heavily into it. It’s simple, like Bungie puts it: Destiny PvP is not meant to be taken seriously. That also seems to be their philosophy, which is why you mostly see more party-style modes.

All the casuals left the game. Is the community that dense?

Edited by Uncle Fester: 2/15/2026 1:51:34 PMThe answer is simple. The mechanics of thousands of different guns with thousands of different perks, coupled with dozens of ( if not more than 100) player abilities, you get a system so complicated it is impossible to balance. As for match maker, you want CBMM, not sbmm, or an even distribution of skill, hold on that would be a version of sbmm. You wonder why bungie does what they do, the sweats and PVP streamers want to crunch player up, and bungie caters to these groups. Truth!

That is called the ‘Bungie balance’. The best players on Team A. The rest on Team B. This helps the better players get ‘sick killstreaks’ for their MOTW submissions.

Same reason the rest of the game is falling apart. Incompetence. Greed. Name it.

Wait till you find out about trials, just had a game a few weeks back where everyone on the opposing team had 200+ flawlesses meanwhile, my team had a combined of four total.

They can't. This pvp is peer-to-peer so one player/ team always get the host/ connection. Now there are less players and this is even worse for peer-ro-peer.

Edited by Griever: 2/14/2026 11:35:13 PMBecause they don't know how to keep lobby balancing turned off (assuming it's not exclusively a repeating trials problem) nor are they capable or willing to enforce their own "zero tolerance policies" when it comes to cheating what with all the people with sketchy af movement and accuracy who even if they aren't cheating are no doubt reported enough any other game would've automatically banned them multiple times over by now. Besides, this game is basically hooked up to life support plugged into a faulty outlet that's powered by an outdated generator. At this point, it would probably just make more sense to break everything or at the very least all every gun as I doubt the game would die any faster if they gave a weapon like Ace for example another 5-30 AA and 30-40 stability. I mean what is it breaking that can't or currently isn't still being broken by like 14 other hand cannons either by their ease of use or killing potential? Usage rate, availability, and whether they're tiered loot being irrelevant: * Solemn Remembrance * Word of Crota * Sightline Survey * Modified B7 Pistol * Crimils Dagger * Mos Athanor * Rose * Palindrome * The reprised IB hand cannon I can't remember the name of * Fatebringer * Luna's Howl * Not Forgotten * Corundum Hammer * Igneous Hammer If the game is going to die like they keep implying they want, I don't see any downsides to letting us fully live up to any power fantasy.
