Hello Bungie team,
I would like to respectfully submit a request regarding Destiny 1, which is still enjoyed by many players today, especially on newer consoles like the PlayStation 5.
Destiny 1 has a unique atmosphere, strong world-building, and memorable content that keeps players coming back even years after release. However, its technical limitations are becoming more noticeable when played on modern hardware.
With that in mind, I would like to ask if it would be possible to consider adding the following features on PS5:
60 FPS support – The PlayStation 5 is more than capable of running Destiny 1 at a higher frame rate. A 60 FPS mode would greatly improve smoothness, gunplay feel, and overall gameplay comfort, making the experience much more enjoyable for both returning and new players.
Adjustable POV options – Giving players the ability to adjust the point of view (such as camera distance or field of view) would improve accessibility and player comfort. Many modern games offer such options, and their inclusion would make Destiny 1 feel less dated while allowing players to tailor the experience to their preferences.
I understand that Destiny 1 is a legacy title, but even small quality-of-life improvements like these could significantly refresh the game and show continued appreciation for the dedicated community that still plays and supports it.
Thank you for your time and for creating a game that remains special to so many players.
Edit...
Ubisoft implemented similar performance improvements in The Division 1, including higher frame rates on newer consoles, without requiring a full next-gen version of the game. This shows that it’s technically possible to enhance older titles on modern hardware, and Bungie could potentially do the same for Destiny 1 without a full next-gen upgrade.

I completely agree with this. Destiny 1 still has a unique atmosphere and gameplay feel that many players continue to appreciate even years later. Playing it on PS5 is still great, but the 30 FPS cap is becoming more and more noticeable, especially after experiencing newer titles. A 60 FPS option and adjustable POV/FOV settings would be massive quality-of-life improvements. They wouldn’t change the core game at all — they would simply allow it to take better advantage of modern hardware. The example of The Division 1 clearly shows that this kind of enhancement is possible without creating a full next-gen version. This would be a great signal that Bungie still cares about the Destiny 1 community and appreciates the players who continue to return to the game. Hopefully this feedback gets noticed.

I think a console remaster (Xbox + PS) would be a success. All that is needed is 60fps & mantle. And, not to sound too bitter, but if they could keep PC out of the picture, I think they would end up with a solid successful game that isn't plagued by cheat software & macro abuse. Xol knows the consoles made the game a success, even with the content droughts we endured.
