Interesting to watch, seems Bungie never learns from their mistakes as they came up with the portal and then scrapped it over 10 years ago as it sucked the life from the game. The problem with the portal is that it completely killed the world menu, it's killed going to all the different planets, and it's killed exploration. Since EoF and Renegades, most of the planets I have never even visited since those DLC's came out as there is absolutely nothing there worth doing for levelling up or even just farming gear, at 550 they are all very dead worlds to me and the only reason to visit them is nostalgia or just screw about. Even doing the hardest lost sectors you get rewarded with BS level 300 gear, they may as well be greens or blues for as much worth as they are. The portal is useful for quick access to things, but unfortunately it's completely replaced the world tab. Just like Bungie themselves said way back then, the portal sucked all the life out of the game which it has, the only place I ever see random guardians now is in the tower or MM if I feel like playing with others.
