@Bungie/Alison Luhrs... allow us to choose how the collapse happens.
Do you believe them?
I've been skeptical of everything that has come out of their mouth, but I think "they" believe that. And I think they ring the bell 🛎️...
Make us....
MAKE US, make a choice.
Here's the choice:
Kill or spare our own ghost after we learn the truth.
That's how you resolve the epilogue of the light & dark saga.
We can't escape a dark future, but how we begin again should be up to us.
The Nine just told us everything we've done has been controlled via their influence.
Who knew and when did they know?
I don't think the Nine are capable of lying to us in the traditional sense, but I don't think they are in control...
They ARE the "Rules"...
Not the authority, the bellwether leading the sheep to the Wolfmother's den.
Sheep:
Clovis
The Cabal
The Hive
The Eliksni
Us
In the lore it tells us they ARE NOT the 'rulemakers'.
The giftbearers are the rulemakers.
Potential giftbearers as indicated in the lore:
Alis Li
Osana Sov
Mara Sov
Uldren Sov
Elsie Bray
Cayde
I won't keep you in suspense...
Mara Sov said that.
She controls the Nine and has as a disciple for her master.
Remember AiON?
Where were the chess boards?
There were 2... we played on one, in Savathun's throne world.
There was a second one, that we only had a picture of.
In the Dreaming City.
Not good enough, how about her own words.
If you want to know the truth, it's time for you read one lore book... it's my favorite one, lol.

The brave voyagers' fate, the timeless birthing-place, my Milton reenactment, the ruins made ours, the riven twice riven, the daughter's blood scabbed hard on mother's wound. All things told, all truth revealed, if through mist and mystery. If you have grace, then see our sorrows, but swallow back your tears. We were made to pay this price.
I led us to our fate.

Seek me in my place. Hear these whispers from the lips of Queen-Egged God.
- Mara Sov
She holds it in one hand and reaches out with the other, gripping the emptiness, feeling how the tides of broken space pull at her fingertips. She senses that the nothingness around her is not indifferent; that it is aware of all purposes, and that its own purpose encompasses them. It is infinitely hostile because it must be.
Suddenly, as if the void around her has just spontaneously Big Banged, she sees light.
A point of pure white shines in the cosmic distance. Not just visible luminance—her suit decomposes the spectrum—but light in the radio bands, in microwave, keening ultraviolet, a spike of gamma, a total and all-embracing radiation. It sings. It chatters. It speaks in a voice older than suns. She feels that she could Fourier the voice for a century and never decompose it into its parts. It is awesome and appalling and piercingly true. Mara understands how those who die in radiation accidents must feel: A single flash of invisible power sears away all possible futures except one. She feels her soul itself has been ionized, blasted into a higher energy state.
The light pierces the darkness. Not like the sunrise, not like a wall or a flood, but a single crepuscular ray—a finger of radiance that reaches out through deepest night to touch her. It illuminates Mara, Uldwyn, and Yang Liwei.
It is not quite enough. It cannot vanquish the shadow.
Thus Mara finds herself drifting on the edge of the Light and the Darkness, on the dusk-and-dawn gradient between the two.
She feels a contest.
A battle fought, an equilibrium reached: not a truce, but an infinite limit, like an equation dividing by zero, a collision of two violent eternities.
- Mara Sov
an equilibrium reached
a collision of two violent eternities
The narrative is solved.
There's 3 though. 3 rulemakers. Mara was the second. Osana Sov was the First.
And the 3rd?
Almost solved, lol.
I think it's Cayde. But I'm not sure.
😇👍💠
To add: Just some Guardian RP for fun...
I would capture and interrogate Mara Sov...
We have to see what Crow and Eris do.
Then I would let her go and have her tailed by the Hidden, to see if she meets up with anyone after we release her.
Why did you go into Jovian space Mara?
Where were you during Forsaken?
What secrets did the Amhakara have on the Awoken, that got their species wiped from existence per your instigation?
I want a cutscene in-game where we hear her responses. I want Aunor to do the interrogation.

1 ReplyThat would be foolish. No one gets to choose how their story begins, but you do get to choose how it ends. Do Guardians really make their own fate or were we simply delaying the inevitable.

And yes, we are at the beginning of the cycle, I still think, since he ripped off his nose, and he is going to get smeared into unrecognizable flesh. Bael becomes...no because people see a scene in their head as fact, not a loose allegory for how. Which leads to ghost and his moment of understanding. He was promised everything, like others, only to lose and have a second chance. There is a reason consciousness is so important, even ones not in a bipedal form. Anyways, Mara and Savvy definitely have a scheme to play and reveal, when, who knows, but definitely going to happen.

1 ReplyYou know it's crazy that AI is stating the same thing... Decision advantage... Rigging the game before you know you're playing... They're creative little things...
