Bank a Mercy
When solos play with duos they get a Mercy for that round. Which means there is nothing really at stake for them. Instead, make them win in order to earn that Mercy and bank it for a future loss.
You can cap the Mercys banked to keep it from being abused, but to me that feels more fair and interesting.

1 ReplyIf they have to win to get the mercy, in an unfair situation, for why they need the mercy to begin with, then it's not really a mercy is it ? Now maybe if they lost, they still have the safety net of the mercy for that match, but if they win they get rewarded with a bonus mercy on their next loss
