All exotics should be on the level of Praxic Blade
We’ve had so much crap dressed up as ‘exotic’, and now Praxic Blade actually feels exotic. Can’t find a build on YT WITHOUT Praxic Blade. No, don’t take the easier way out of nerfing Praxic, all other exotics need to be massively buffed to be on its’ level. I know for a fact, exotics like dead messenger or ruinous effigy or pretty much ANY OTHER special exotic isn’t anywhere near Praxic’s level.
Praxic brings everything to the table — Ad-clear, subclass synergy, incredible boss/miniboss damage and the best survivability tool since Devour. THAT is exotic, something that stands out from all other swords.
Now make the rest of the special exotics this way. They’re currently just boring weapons that don’t feel good to use.
The one that stands out the most is Ergo Sum. You felt the need to obliterate Ergo Sum’s ammo economy while you give Praxic blade essentially infinite ammo and the better of EVERYTHING (including damage).
Keep Ergo as-is, but make it a primary weapon. It doesn’t do well enough to be used in 97% of content, and I refuse the idea that praxic blade can be in the exact same category (special sword),and still be 10x better.
Tone it down for Crucible where needed.

Just enjoy the next 6 months or so. Keep in mind the combos we have for it, Techsec etc... were never intended to be used together. The amount of complaining Bungie "folded" to made it possible. The player base can be thanked for complaining so hard we have the next 6 months of stupidness.... ya know... when things like this used to happen..they'd let it play out for a wknd and give out an emblem for those who dared to play while the broken thing existed. They letting this play out.

Praxic is good to help sell the expansion. It’ll be brought into line.

Tbh I think Praxic and Ergo should both be primary ammo. Especially if they plan on nerfing it (let’s be honest, we know they will). I hardly remember using a primary so far this season, the times that I did play. The builds have been fun, but they made so many activities have swords/skulls that even the good weapons feel terrible to use.
