After getting neglected for many years, watching the Crucible fall into oblivion. Will you still buy Marathon? How do you guys feel about the game and the current PvP experience?
Personally I can no longer support Bungie with anything related to PvP the people who made Bungie shine are not there anymore. The new blood hasn't handle Destiny PvP well.
I want to know what does the community think.

No. I think the PvP will be good. Bungie moved all of its PvP talent and resources to its development. The problem is that extraction shooters (open world PvP) is extremely polarizing and only appeals to a niche audience. Destiny PvP players are going to not like it. Because it’s too different. Pve players are going to hat it because constantly losing your stuff every time you die is going to build exhaustion and resentment. It does in EVERY MMO where players can’t opt out of it. No pve in this game is going to prove a fatal decision.

No way

Nah, not my cup of tea, if they add respawn modes and normal PvP then maybe.

2 RepliesActually trying to convince my brother in law to hold off on arc raiders and wait for marathon. I'm going to get it for sure, but if he was willing to spend crap tons of money on Call of Duty, I would rather him experience Bungie's gunplay, and throw money at them. Help the company rebound, and hire rather than fire. I may talk -blam!- about their programmers and their design choices, but I would rather them be able to grow from those blunders, not out right look for another job...granted they aren't making as much money as they want with Destiny, but I want a rebound, I want an astounding win for these peeps.

No I have no interest in extraction shooter or pvp in general. Hope its great for those that like that sort of game though.
-
Yes, it’s the next Destiny killer!!
-
My decision should have no basis on whether you get the game or not. You've made your choice, stand by it.

2 RepliesFor the price tag, what's the selling point of marathon? There's nothing seen as selling point other than the name for nostalgia

Not sure, extraction shooters continue to draw no interest from me. even ARC, i dont have the time or interest to get down with for long periods of time. Im sure it will do fine. -
Well you see, the important part is honesty friendship family values, and nobody got arrested!
-
Nope. Dont like what I have seen so far in trailers and some gameplay.
-
What's a marathon?
-
-
I likely will yes

1 ReplyThe only Marathon I wanna play is a Nightdive rerelease of the original games.
-
No… just doesn’t appeal to me

SwatJust be cool, okay? - old
Doubt it. -
4 RepliesMarathon is directly competing with ARC Raiders so, no? I'm not sure why I'd play Marathon over ARC from what I've seen
-
3 RepliesI will. This is desperate bungie, so expect a mega hit. Longevity is debatable, first month will be success.
