Dear Devs, Happy New Year!
Just wanted to put this here in the hopes that the folks at Bungie would see this and hopefully be encouraged.
I've played Destiny off and on since Taken King and am currently playing on a newer account I started late last year. I've always loved the atmosphere and world design of the game(s), especially the music. I also greatly enjoy the gameplay loop (explore, find secrets, grind, loot, etc.). I'm currently playing a thorough run of Kepler before diving into Renegades.
I'm loving Kepler. As usual, the atmosphere and music are beautifully crafted. The traversal puzzles are fun and different for Destiny but familiar to a me as a fan of the Respawn Jedi games. The Mythic level content is tough but satisfying to beat and I am proudly wearing my Emissary Waft emblem. The campaign story is excellent. The campaign is well acted and well written, and I enjoyed it immensely. It's also long! Clearly a lot of work went into it and it shows.
As much as I respect and appreciate the MMO aspects of Destiny that have been there from the beginning, I am very appreciative of the work that has been put into solo play, from the Pale Heart to Kepler and including the Portal solo ops which I quite enjoy. It's nice to have the option to play Destiny this way. I hope that this newish aspect of Destiny is not abandoned, as it has been very nice for me, as a father of three young children! Earning those Tier 5's is a blast!
Devs, thank you for all your hard work. Thank you for your care for your players and for the worlds you craft for us. Players like me may be busy and quiet, but we appreciate and enjoy what you're doing and we see you. Keep it up!
Eyes up, Guardians.
