I'm getting like a half dozen tier 5 dawning guns after any activity, and got all the god rolls I want day one of the event. I'd like to have at least 5 weapons to farm if the event is just going to rain perfect versions on me for barely playing. I think there were 6 other decent weapons that could have been reprised and changed to the current sandbox. Could have reprised Cold Front as an Aggressive Burst SMG or Zehypr as a Wave Frame Sword for example. Another issue is that the weapons in question are not the best frames, and I really don't see them getting notable buffs in the future since the Bungie sandbox team keeps trying to one-up each other by seeing who can create the most overpowered new weapon frame instead of rebalancing the existing ones. I don't even mind there being no event activity (dawning never had one) or that the event loot is overabundant, but next time it's gotta be better than this.
