many people used to dunk on the oscilation modifier for it restricting playstyles and making endgame content unfun/difficult; but with the addition of the praxic blade, it very much makes high level content much more accessible.
use a decent energy weapon/heavy weapon, like a pulse rifle or LMG with jolting feedback or various other damage perks and plink away at red bars/orange bars until you get weapon decay x3, and the deflect damage on your praxic blade will triple in response.
it helped me run master solo ops for legendary vanguard orders with ease because most enemies including yellow bars would get melted very quickly and help you clear rooms with ease without losing ammo, happy hunting guardians! :) bonus tip: use a void subclass with refraction core to weaken every enemy you hit with deflects to ...yk, make them take more damage!
and yes, you do have to reset the damage buff occasionally, but it isn't difficult! i assure you!

I never had an issue with the modifier. It was more restrictive at release, but the dmg buff was nice. Bullet sponges became somewhat squishy.
