Skipped the drifter cutscene after first mission in cantina and got soft locked changed characters watched the cutscene and still soft locked bungie why

Had the same problem and managed to get past it. I don't know if it was just "5th time's the charm" or not, but I interacted with the bar and then touched literally nothing for the entire duration of the dialogue and cutscene. After the cutscene finished, a few seconds passed and the prompt to progress appeared.
