I BEAT THE SOFT LOCK! I deselected the two mods at the hanger, returned to orbit. Launched back in and waited for the dialogue to complete. Reselected mods, then was able to board the ship. I just went slowly through the mission, anytime there was dialogue I would stop and wait until it was completed. When I got to the tunnel with the mines I waited for all the dialogue and then I ran through the mines. I spent maybe 30 to 45 seconds. Just kind of running around before I killed the two psions. I then shot the two jars, before approaching the large door. Once I saw enemies on my radar I then approached the door and was able to complete the encounter. TL;DR I slowed my roll and it worked out.

Yup same here..i spawned, lost all my health straight away and then l couldnt move from spawn so l left and now im stuck in the hangar area lol..my god this is sad

I am also stuck on this quest and had the same issue. Was stuck in the arena so tried to trouble shoot. I have closed the game, restarted and picked different characters. Now when reloading the mission, I can't even equip abilities to start the mission, it just sits at equip abilities and no way to progress the mission.
