Opening a player survey just to close it so quickly
I checked my email today and saw that I had a survey invite and that it was offering 500 silver. The email was sent two days ago. I try today to fill out the survey, survey isnt available. Why was the time so short? I am not checking my personal email everyday, this isn't my work email. What was the plan here Bungie?
It's honestly a little annoying. Two+ years ago I filled out a survey that focused on comparing PVP games (I guess that was the point of the survey, those were the questions i got), that offered silver as well. Never got the silver. I just want to mention that this has been a recurring issue for me as a player. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

A friend of mine told he got one and check my email and I got nothing so did they send it to only select players and if they did that just proves that they’re not giving a crap about either the player base or the game take your pick.

I don't check my emails everyday either. The Bungie name has gone down hill through the years. It's a name I have grown not to trust. If I see a game with their name on it, then I know to avoid just by my experiences with Destiny through the years. After Final Shape, I told Bungie I will not be spending another dime on their games and or expansions until they get their act together.

I got invited to a summit style thing in year 1 of destiny 1 in London via email, I guess because I'd played thousands of hours & was number 3 on time played overall on that wasted website. I was never gonna go, but 2 days later I got another email saying the invites were for content creators only, so. mine should t have been sent & my invite was rescinded 😁

It seems like to me that they are catering to the higher streamers, influencers instead of their actual player community. As a D1 veteran I can say I have felt less acknowledged by the devs. I feel that the game needs to have the portal fixed, the old content brought forward, strikes to be new- content to be actually new. Gambit to be reworked or removed. Menu gaming has become way more lately. Cheaters have been ruining a lot of PvP content. I can’t say that I am happy spending hundreds of dollars and not get a silver dime back for content that have been purchased over and over again. Renegades better have entirely NEW CONTENT for the 100$ spent. ALSO STOP THIS ELITE crap. I can’t even fathom the difficultly it is for conquest ultimate. Not every casual player wants to rage at it.

Renegades wil be the litmus test if they are even capable of maintaining the game. But they were foolish enough to drive away and fire some of their best which is a sure sign that they are just throwing stuff at the wall, If the onboarding for this game is ANY indication, Renegades will be the last straw for most people IMO.

After 16000 K Hours D1 +D2, this was the first survey i've ever get from Bungie. And I didn't see that you get 500 Silver. Even if I got it, I don't care.

Atleast you had the opportunity to even earn silver. I didnt get anything and even i have been playing since day 1 D1... I'm used to the unfair weirdness that Bungo grew into now. Like alcohol in society. We know its not healthy, yet we accept it...

1 ReplyEdited by Stalkholm: 11/21/2025 2:13:01 AMIf I had to guess, and I do have to guess, it's because the survey was posted by streamers and they didn't want to invite a dogpile of people just copying their favorite parasocial friend. They want honest answers, not copies. Edit: This is not meant to imply that's what you were doing. It's what I think Bungie is worrying about, and why they expire surveys so quickly. I saw one streamer going through and ranking the whole list with their viewers, which is fair content, I watched it, but it might have skewed the results a bit.
