I play on console and i find these people on a pretty regular basis.
Literally just played a match against a 2-stack blatantly aimbotting, i'm talking 100% accuracy on ALL guns, not a single bodyshot in the kill feed
one of them was literally called ''[NAME REMOVED]'' or something like that
the other was using Lodestar, hip-fire only with perfect accuracy across the map
I'm sorry if this is just the raw skill of an insane pair of gamers or something like that, but i think i've ran into cheaters already and this kind of behavior is VERY sus to me

There's no aim botting on console. At the moment there are no hacks like PC players have. Using cronus or xim isn't aim botting.
-
There’s a major “skill issue” happening at Bungle Studios which means no, they are unable fix or do anything about the cheaters. From the top-down the whole studio simply doesn’t know how to handle it.
-
3 RepliesPeople pretending the cheating problem isn't there, and not publicly shaming people for cheating is the reason that they can get away with it. Bungie protects cheaters.
-
4 RepliesThey know nothing will be done to them. I see it all the time. Me I’m a 2.79 kd player for the past 8 years 334k kills currently. All I play is PvP. I use a monitor, scuf controller and Astro a40’s also kontrol freek thumb sticks. So I have a crazy amount of advantage. No way some 0.9 or 1.2 kd joe out guns me every single time I stand no chance against cheaters even with my experience and gear. I wish psn had more report options other than verbal abuse crap.
-
I had it in comp. Also a two stack absolutely wiping the floor with my team. Insane snipes jiggle shooting smgs with insane range/ accuracy! He didn’t even die. Oh and not to mention there 3rd dropped out so they wooped us 3v2.. I reported them.. but net game same team again I left. Got suspended and switch destiny off…
-
4 RepliesIf Bungie is going to allow cheaters to run rampant….. Then we should be allowed to name names. Change my mind.
-
1 ReplyIt is for sure happening on console, but they don’t want to admit it because they are using this stuff themselves probably… It mostly happens on XBox when they have rapid fire outbreak for example…

Edited by niten08: 11/20/2025 4:56:27 PMEvery game is like this now tbf

10 RepliesIdk, so take this with salt. With the crazy pc cheats that have been coming out, is it possible that cheaters on pc are able to spoof in some way to get into console lobbies? Sounds far fetched, but the cheats available on pc have gotten pretty sophisticated.

Edited by pain6hollow: 11/20/2025 9:32:14 AMYea I ran into a fireteam of 5 & the top player (XBox) had a seasonal crucible kd of 10.71, no way & I only have a 2.23 this season.

3 RepliesEdited by SHOCKWAVE 134: 11/18/2025 9:53:10 PMYou undoubtedly stumbled upon apex level Hunters, the elite whose prowess leaves lesser players in the dust, venerated icons in the pinnacle tier Hunter mains community, that exalted cabal of shadows where only the truly transcendent convene to dissect your blunders like vivisected prey. I, SHOCKWAVE 134, am part of this fabled community, a spectral specter whose every shadow step mocks the sunlit fumblings of pretenders like you. It’s pathetically predictable how you cry “cheater” at the sight of true mastery, skill that eclipses your own, passion that burns brighter than your feeble efforts, and gravitas that demands reverence you clearly can’t comprehend.

1 ReplyIn Momentum Control the population is extremely low, there are the same cheaters in almost every game. Same guys they just change the clan name every other day I guess to prevent being reported somehow. Durk, Dongle, Big - today their clan is C2. Anyone else seeing this? How can Bungie let a bunch of same cheaters reported over and over again ruin the game for everyone else?
-
Edited by Griever: 11/19/2025 5:41:15 AMLower player population means there are proportionally more cheaters/ complete tryhards than there were back in Heresy and before that. And considering how slow bungie is to take action, they've basically permitted cheating. Hell, a couple weeks ago I faced a guy in Red Rumble who in the past 5 seasons alone consistently had a win rate of around 10-15% and a KD of no higher than like 0.7 across thousands of matches. But somehow when I checked this season at that time, they had won 44 of their last 50 matches (they played 104 at that time) with BEYOND unreasonably high performances in most of them, had achieved long enough win streaks to go flawless multiple times, and despite barely having a 40% win rate in comp and still a negative kd, somehow grinded to adept 1. So the only possible explanations are cheating, a recovery, or they threw so many matches that the game essentially forced every win because the algorithm tries to enforce roughly a 50% win rate (matchmaking manipulation/ boosting). All are bannable btw, and there's no way they haven't been banned nor any reason they haven't been permabanned by now for the hundreds of times they should've been suspended. I reported in game and on here, and I'd gladly point him out to a moderator or someone if I thought it would speed up the process. Still nothing happened to him when the stats alone are proof enough he's doing something he's not supposed to. Edit: checked again just for the sake of it. The guy has now grinded to Ascendent 1 with a win rate of 38.8% (19 wins 30 losses) and a kd of 1.04, has won almost 50% of his matches in Trials with a 1.17 kd, and a 28.5% win rate in QP with a 1.24 kd. As for his current ELOs: * Top 13% in trials * Top 1.1% in elimination * Top 2.6% in rumble * Top 23% in clash * Top 41% in IB * Top 45% in zone control * Top 42% in control * Bottom 36% in Rift * Bottom 7% in competitive clash You can't tell me something isn't adding up right when this guy who's consistently across the past several seasons if not his entire time playing Destiny has played as if he was the definition of a liability with stats like that but is now magically playing as if he just got every enhancement from Cyberpunk. It's simply not possible. If he's somehow legit, then that's proof enough I'm facing a cheater in most if not every match I lose this season, especially matches I go negative in because I should be way higher than someone like him with my stats.

1 ReplyEdited by Hyperion724: 11/18/2025 6:22:44 PMThe same reason nothing was done about cheating in Halo and D1: Because Bungie doesn’t care. That’s how it works with almost all online gaming. Cheat online? Nothing happens no matter what you do. Cuss out a cheater, tell the devs who they are or leave a game early because of cheating? Almost INSTANT punishment. Bungie in particular doesn’t care at all. As long as people continue to play, EVERYONE could cheat for all they care.
-
It's a trash game run by people who quite literally do not care about their players.
-
Frustrating is putting it lightly. Ever since the cheaters were exposed to be 70% or more, and I know shiets are gonna say, “tHaT wAs RaIdS derp*” no it wasn’t…it was a generalization on how many worthless -blams- are out there. You really think they gonna stop cheating just in Raids?…pfffft* nope cheating all the time, especially when people use aim bot and think they’re getting good….🤦♂️ pathetic. Just try not to take it too seriously too many shiets out there.

2 RepliesPeople think cheating only happens on PC, but it is a huge problem on console as well. There was a video I was watching where an actual cheater in another game was saying that cheating on console was actually easier because people think it's not possible and it's not being monitored there. We keep hearing about battleeye, which honestly doesn't seem to be doing a damn thing on PC, but battleeye doesn't exist on console as far as I am aware. Bungie is doing nothing for cheating on console.

Bungie won’t ban cheaters because A they don’t care and B if they did they would lose another 25% of their player base. I’m really hoping bungie goes bankrupt and Sony actually steps up to the plate and fixes the game.

12 RepliesCheating is a widespread problem in D2. I’m a believer now.

3 RepliesEdited by Toots238857: 11/18/2025 9:59:18 PMOMG ..I thought it was just ME!! We played with a Hunter using Lodestar...and he was mapping us with headshots. Never missed. Also seemed to have unlimited ammo for it. Just crazy. Every shot he took was a headshot. I literally just watched the kill feed at that point to verify it. These people should have an "I CHEATED" emblem or something on them. Permanently.
-
4 RepliesNah some people are just better and you catch them during their moments. Have yet to run into anything on console that makes me believe they were cheating.
-
Tf is up with people still playing pvp expecting all the "cheaters" to miraculously vanish overnight
-
2 RepliesWhere do you see whether precision or body shots happened in the kill feed, please?

Last two weeks been noticing loads of lag switches ….its really obvious. I just don’t get the mentality of person cheating in a video game ….an especially a dying pvp game. Same with the 40 plus kills and zero caps …lol is it legit or cheating . Don’t need a great deal of skill to hold your own in control . Well unless there are some changes , new modes , weapons ….anything in PvP . If not it will die out faster .

4 RepliesI’ve never reported has many people as this week, so far I had: - People running around perfect accuracy and two tapping. - People with 3 super by match, even though I have 100 super, capture zone lands kills.. I’m lucky if I get two in a match. - People shooting me through a wall with the crossbow. - Lag like it’s never been before with people teleporting, hit and melee that don’t register, crazy movement… The fact that it lags much more than before I’m sure a lot of people are using net limiting to get an edge. And surprisingly it spiked over the weekend.

5 RepliesI think we need to implement a cheater list where you can ban 6-12 people personally for suspect of cheating. And basically you won’t be matched with them again.
